CoCo The Black Cat
Story by Lisa Bennett:
” When I was attending the University of Costa Rica a black cat would appear in my yard once in awhile. I assumed he could smell the cat food I was feeding my cat. I would leave the window open so the my cat could come and go and apparently this cat started coming and going as well. One morning he was sleeping at the foot of my bed. I took him to the vet and had him neutered. Then, of course, he started hanging around more. I knew I couldn’t take him with me when school was finished so I took him back to the vet to make sure he had shots including rabies. While I was there, I told my vet the story of CoCo and how much I enjoyed him while I was in Costa Rica, but I could only carry one cat on the plane with me. I had to take my cat that I brought with me back home. She said she knew a lady whose cat recently died and asked me to send her a picture. CoCo found a new home the next day. The lady let me visit him until I had to leave Costa Rica.¨
